For half of his life, Muheisen has traveled the world with his camera, documenting stories that matter—stories of hope, courage, and resilience. He captures the lives of people forced to leave their homes, their hopes, their families, and their memories behind in search of safety. No one leaves their home unless they have no other choice, and this is precisely what Muheisen strives to convey through his images.

Through his exhibited photographs, Muheisen aims to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and, most importantly, amplify the voices of the people he photographs. These images are more than just pictures—they are voices, messages, and testimonies that will live on forever. If an event occurs but is never documented, it is as if it never happened.

He doesn’t just pass by and take pictures—he dedicates time, invests in people, and strives to make a real difference, no matter how big or small. After all, every change starts somewhere. He approaches his work with the understanding that this is not a hundred-meter sprint but a marathon.

Muheisen focuses primarily on children, believing they are the true victims of conflict. No matter where they are from or what circumstances they face, children everywhere share the same desire—to play, to laugh, and to find moments of joy. Through his photographs, their voices reach the world.

Life and War is a collection of images spanning over two decades, capturing war, destruction, human suffering, and the resilience of those caught in the middle. Even in the midst of conflict, life never stops—it continues, no matter the circumstances.
