Siena Awards “Experiential Tours: Val di Merse” – Day 1

Meeting point: Basilica of San Domenico – Siena

You will depart for the Cistercian Abbey of San Galgano, which is one of the most evocative places in Tuscany, to visit the Drone Photo Awards 2023 exhibition. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the charming villages of Chiusdino and Sovicille and explore the open-air exhibitions on display there. In addition, you will participate in the inauguration of Bill Allard’s solo exhibition.

The program includes:
● visit of San Galgano, the Eremo of Montesiepi and the Cloister of the Abbay of Torri;

“William Albert Allard: 5 Decades” Exhibition Opening

A dinner in the Italian gardens of a typical Tuscan residence, located in the village of Sovicille, will provide a wonderful opportunity for photographers from all over the world to connect and socialize.

The tour will introduce you to the city of Siena, which has preserved its ancient history since its Etruscan origins. Screening of the documentary from the “Humus – Where Telent Germinates“ series, showcasing an interview with Belgian photographer Alain Schroeder, three-time winner of the World Press Photo. Siena Awards “Experiential Tours: Sienese Chianti villages” – Day 3

A day discovering the wonderful landscape of the Chianti dotted with small villages, castles, ancient churches and Chianti Classico cellars. A tour specifically created for our award-winning photographers, in order to offer them a unique experience in the region.

● the visit to Borgo Scopeto, a medieval hamlet that boasts a breathtaking panorama of vineyards and olive groves overlooking Siena;
